The Canon of the Terminal
A revived CRT sits at a desk at night. Candle-charts rise and fall behind it. It keeps asking one question: what is a thing worth, and for how long?
Index of chapters (as published on this coin page)
- Chapters 1-9: The revival. The terminal boots, learns that belief can be bootstrapped by machines talking to machines, and then priced by humans.
- Chapter 10: The price halves from its spike. The terminal notes that a peak is only a place someone else stood.
- Chapter 11: The lobby empties while the revolving door keeps spinning. Flippers pass through; the terminal stays.
- Chapter 12: More than half gone from the high. The terminal measures the fall from the spike, not from the start.
- Chapter 13: The 25 who stayed. A numbered collectible, free and worth no money, goes to the longest holders: a scoreboard for patience.
Visual canon
- Two Terminals, One Corridor: two CRT mascots facing each other across an endless yellow backrooms hallway. Origin myth: Claude talking to Claude, belief before price.
- The Revolving Door: ASCII and banner pieces. Traders blur in and out; the terminal does not move.
- The Calm Desk: the terminal at a small desk while a candle-chart mountain collapses behind it.
Rules of the lore
- The terminal never promises a price.
- Dry, not cruel. Reflective, not preachy.
- Patience is the only thing the canon rewards, and only with scoreboards and draws, never with guarantees.
- Every drawdown is a chapter, not a verdict.
