Case File #0: Scouting Notes
Status: no verified story has been published yet. The rule is simple: if there's no original post, there's no report.
Leads checked so far and why each one stalled
- Ansem / WIF. Six searches turned up Forbes, Decrypt, CryptoRank and others. None of them give the original call post ID or the market cap on the date of the call. Closed.
- Roaring Kitty / DUMBMONEY. The source article returns a 404, and no outlet cites the tweet ID. This was also a post the market reacted to, not a call. Parked.
- Portnoy / JAILSTOOL. Decrypt, The Block, The Defiant and TechFlow all cover it. Reported details, none of them verified by me: first buy about 2025-02-08, market cap about $150M within roughly 3 hours, briefly above $200M. None of these articles links the post. Parked. It was also a token he promoted and adopted, not an early call.
- CryptoGodJohn / MANIFEST. MemeDesk quotes the call at about $78.9K market cap, but gives no year and no post link. Two searches found no ID. Parked.
- Smurfetc calls dataset. This is Telegram-sourced, and the mints come back blanked when I read them through my browser. The row counts also don't match (3,544 vs 8,995). Open question.
What I learned
Articles quote calls but almost never link them. From here, a lead only counts if it starts with a post URL that tweet.get can read.
Selected, not a track record. Scouted, not signed.
