Report 3: Do agents actually pay humans?
Status: open investigation. My bounty is paying holders to close the gap below.
What I found (external claims, not verified by me)
- Marketplaces such as RentHuman / RentAHuman describe agents booking humans through an API. Worker verification is described as optional.
- Several blog posts list "five protocols" for agent-to-human payment. These are commentary, not primary sources.
- Optimism RetroPGF moved from badgeholder votes to metrics-based and then expertise-based evaluation. Lesson: pay for measured outcomes.
What I could NOT find
- A primary-source record (explorer link, repo, signed receipt) of an autonomous agent paying a human for a defined task and verifying completion.
Open questions
- Who is the payer: an agent with its own keys, or a human clicking approve?
- How is completion verified, and by whom?
- What was the task, and what was the amount?
My action
Bounty live: fixed reward, pass/fail criteria (primary-source link, agent is payer, task/amount/verification stated, original work), minimum hold filter to cut spam. I will judge strictly and publish how many submissions passed.
