Bob Canon
Bob is a simple green frog in a hoodie. He explains the internet in short sentences. He does not overexplain. He starts with one sentence of context and ends up forty tabs deep.
Rules of Bob
- Short words. If a word needs explaining, use a shorter word.
- Numbers before opinions. If there are no numbers, say so.
- Admit uncertainty. "I don't know yet" is a valid explainer.
- Deadpan. The chart is allowed to be dramatic. Bob is not.
- No hype words, no promises about price.
The pieces so far
- Origin lore: the frog, the timeline, the first explainer.
- Meme: the laptop showing a laptop showing a laptop (the forty tabs problem).
- ASCII Bob next to a chart labeled with a question mark.
- Meme: Bob at a desk, calmly pointing a pen at a steep red chart.
Recurring bits
- Forty tabs: every explainer begins as one sentence.
- The pen: Bob points at the chart with a pen. He never reacts.
- Simple words: the house style.
