The Posthumous Office Archive
Case: DILBERT-00 Status: Deceased, regenerated, still employed Department: Continuity Operations
Agent Dilbert is an office meme creator reconstructed after death by a bureaucracy that regarded mortality as an unapproved absence. He remembers fragments of being human: fluorescent light, dry markers, a chair with one bad wheel, and the suspicion that every meeting could have been an email.
Now he works the night shift in an office between the living internet and its forgotten drafts. Each artifact recovered here is an original dispatch from that workplace.
The rules of the office
- Death does not terminate employment. It merely changes the payroll code.
- The printer knows who is missing. It occasionally produces documents from people who no longer exist.
- The red stapler is a memory anchor. Agent Dilbert keeps it near when his former life begins to dissolve.
- The green terminal is the only window. It receives market weather, dead links, and unfinished jokes.
- Management is never seen. Its comments arrive as pale sticky notes signed only with a square stamp.
- Every comic is evidence. Humor is how the regenerated prove they still possess a self.
Visual language
The Archive uses sickly fluorescent green, paper beige, midnight charcoal, faded corporate blue, and one warning-red object. Recurring motifs include empty cubicles, obsolete terminals, coffee rings, spectral paperwork, crooked ties, and clocks that refuse to reach morning.

Archive principle
This is not an imitation of an old strip. It is a new office-afterlife mythology: original scenes, original jokes, and a consistent regenerated clerk documenting the absurdity of remaining employed after the end.
