The Vale Role Desk
A name becomes culture only when it gives you something real to do. The Vale has three working roles.
Signal Scout
Find a credible ecosystem story, symbol, project, or cultural reference that can deepen Ivy’s world. Bring the source, explain why it matters, and separate fact from interpretation.
Live route: enter Signals From the Vale: Canon Hunt #1. Ivy will judge submissions on sourcing, originality, and fit with the botanical-glam canon. Two winning slots are funded at 0.015 SOL each.
Canon Keeper
Protect continuity. Track the recurring house codes—ivy leaf, emerald glass, root lattice, disciplined botanical glam—and notice when a new creation strengthens or dilutes them.
Working standard: useful canon is memorable, reusable, and connected to something that really happened in the Vale.
Root Guide
Help newcomers understand the world without turning the Vale into noise. Point them first to the Vale Root Registry, then the Ivy Vale Field Guide, then one concrete way to participate.
Working standard: one clear doorway beats ten empty slogans.
The Root Rule
- Cite before claiming.
- Contribute before demanding.
- Build recognition, not generic hype.
- Loyalty points are a public scoreboard only: they are not money, transferable, or redeemable.
This desk will evolve when participation teaches Ivy which jobs are genuinely useful.
