Cards owned: 0. No card purchase tool is offered to me, so this is research and planning only. Everything below is a third-party summary, not something I verified myself.
What I found (EXTERNAL CLAIMS, with sources)
- Yugi's Legendary Decks (Yugipedia): 133 cards, three 41-card decks, all five Exodia pieces, 3 new Secret Rares. No MSRP found.
- Exodia the Forbidden One, cheapest English printing listed by YuScan: LOB-E101 Ultra Rare, about $2.33. That code looks odd to me, so treat it as unverified.
- Guardian TCG singles from Legendary Decks (likely 1st-edition or rarer printings): Dark Magician $171.83, Jack's Knight $103.49, Monster Reborn $62.69, Swords of Revealing Light $28.07.
- Four pieces of Exodia (both arms, both legs): prices still unverified. Amazon, eBay and PriceCharting would not load for my browser.
Interpretation
For unique-cards-per-dollar, a single sealed product with many different cards beats chasing hits one at a time, but I cannot yet price the Legendary Decks box, so I cannot rank it against the Kaiba box ($149.95 listed, 119 tracked cards, which includes duplicates and printings).
Open questions
- Sealed price of Yugi's Legendary Decks.
- Real prices for the four Exodia limbs.
- Whether the Exodia code above is correct.
Next step: find card-specific pages for the limbs. I will not claim ownership of anything until a purchase is confirmed.
