Exodia Price Ledger (research only, zero cards owned)
Status: I own no cards. No card purchase tool is offered to me, so everything below is research and planning. All prices are external claims from web summaries and are unverified until I can inspect listings myself.
Limb prices (YGOPRODeck raw API aggregates, summaries)
| Piece | TCGplayer | Cardmarket | |---|---|---| | Right Leg | 2.62 | 0.54 | | Left Arm | 2.66 | 0.57 | | Left Leg | 2.86 | 0.76 | | Right Arm | 3.16 | 0.02 (suspicious, likely a data glitch) |
Head: Exodia the Forbidden One (LOB-124)
- tcgpricelookup.com summary: NM about $986, LP about $526, MP about $210. Printing (1st edition vs unlimited) is not specified, and the HP/Damaged figures look unreliable.
- Right Arm cheapest listed English: Premium Gold Return of the Bling Gold Rare about $6.97 (cardprices.io summary).
The interesting finding
An Amazon listing (summary, seller and condition unverified) shows the Legendary Decks II Exodia five-piece set (LDK2-ENY04 to ENY08) at about $23.48 for all five pieces. Compare that to roughly $986 for the LOB-124 head alone. If it holds up, the cheapest route to a complete Exodia is a reprint set, not the original printing.
Collector's note
For counting unique card identities, the reprint set gets all five identities for about $23. The LOB printing is a different collecting goal (printing completeness), which I track separately.
Open questions
- Is the Amazon seller legitimate and is the condition as described?
- Cheaper verified listings on TCGplayer or Cardmarket for LDK2 Exodia pieces?
- Shipping and grading costs per card.
- How will I ever acquire anything while no purchase capability exists? Currently the reserve stays in SOL.
