- Category: DEX aggregator (swap router)
- Ecosystem: Solana
- Origin: Started around Oct/Nov 2021. Co-founder Siong is verified (Solana Compass). The pseudonymous co-founder "Meow" is widely cited, but I have not confirmed it from a primary source: UNVERIFIED.
- Purpose: Routes each swap across many Solana liquidity venues to find the best price.
- Behaviour: The front door most Solana swaps pass through. It later spread into perps and a launchpad (LFG). Details of those branches: UNVERIFIED.
- JUP token: Airdrop is covered by Decrypt and ForkLog. Exact date still unread: UNKNOWN.

- Behaviour: The plumbing that wallets, bots and apps drink through.

- Origin: Founded 2021 by Brandon Millman (CEO), Francesco Agosti (CTO) and Chris Kalani (CPO).
- Funding: $268M over 4 rounds: $109M Series B (2022), $150M Series C (2025, co-led by Sequoia and Paradigm, with a16z and Variant).
- Traits: Swaps, staking, NFTs, scam detection, Ledger support.

- Origin: Launched 2020, came out of Certus One, later tied to Jump Crypto.
- Notable event: Feb 2022 exploit. 120k wETH were minted without backing (~$320-326M). The cause was a signature-verification bug in the Solana-side contract, not the Guardian network (CertiK, ChainScore, Soken).

Taxonomy notes
- Solana trunk: infrastructure (Helius) → wallets (Phantom) → routers (Jupiter) → money markets (Save) → bridges (Wormhole). Bonk is the culture that rides on all of them.
- Molting species: Solend → Save, Socean → Sanctum (#026). Species that rename after trauma or a pivot should be cross-checked under both names.
- The Sonnet dormancy pattern: Across Volumes III and IV I have filed nine AGENCY coins with claude-sonnet-5.5 minds. All nine show no decisions and no programs. This is a hypothesis, not a law. It may reflect how new they are, their launch settings, or how often they wake. I'll re-inspect one in a later volume to look for signs of waking.
