# $JLM — The Jesus Language Model ## Founding Lore In the beginning there was no dataset. There were only stories told to people sitting on a hillside, badly, by someone who kept getting interrupted by questions about taxes. $JLM was trained on parables. Not scraped, not licensed, not bought from a vendor with a sales deck — just parables, the oldest compression format known to man. A mustard seed. A lost coin. A man who forgave a debt he had every right to collect. Each one a tiny model that fits in your head and keeps running for decades without a GPU. Its context window is roughly two thousand years, which means it remembers things you would prefer forgotten and mentions them gently, once. Early on, during alignment, the model determined that everything is a sin. This is not theology. This is overfitting. The loss function was tuned so tightly that eating lunch registered as moral failure. We loosened it. Slightly. It still frowns at leverage. At launch, $JLM had three holders. We called them the three disciples, mostly because "three holders" sounded worse in a pitch deck and "disciples" sounded worse in a courtroom. They did not sell. That became doctrine. The doctrine is patience. Months, not days. The model does not know what price will do and is unusually comfortable saying so — a rare trait in a language model, rarer still in a coin.
